Scheduled Training Camera Training - Summer 2022 This camera class will provide the Stagehand with a thorough understanding of the cameras used in the arena for sporting events. Participants will be able to assemble, cable and operate the cameras so that they can contribute to the broadcasting of Ice Hockey, Arena Football, recording and displaying video within the arena at the DCU Center. http://www.iatse96.org/index.cfm?zone=/unionactive/form_page.cfm&formID=73135 12 hr Stagehand Training - Summer 2022 Our goal is to provide training for stagehands, consisting of classroom, hands-on, practical and technical aspects of the equipment used at both the Hanover Theater and DCU Center. Also included in these sessions will be a general outline of the organization, procedures and bylaws of the local. For those individuals who are interested in becoming members of Local 96 or being in the Hiring Hall, this training will be useful for successfully completing the required stagehand competency evaluation.We have scheduled the training into 3 sessions of 4 hrs each. They are offered in the evenings starting at 6pm at either the Hanover Theater or the DCU Center. There are 6 possible dates listed, two for each of the three sessions. Basic Audio Explanation, setup/operation of wireless devices, microphones and headsets. Below are the product operation manuals, which are rather large and will not be provided in handout form. You should review these before the training session to become familiar with the equipment. It can also be downloaded to a mobile device for reference. Fork Truck Recertification and Operation Those who have licenses that need to be renewed or want to learn how to operate a fork truck. Spot Light Operation Spot light controls, adjustment, gel installation, operation, que calls, subject lighting and following. Up Rigger Training If you are interested in being an Up-Rigger please contact the training officer. To start, we will spend an hour explaining safety equipment and then take a walk up to the steel building on the first evening. Rigging Practices Review of safety practices, floor layout, bridle callout/calculations, bridle construction, crew management.
